Corporation places the highest priority on ensuring the safety, security, and physical and mental health of all individuals working in its workplaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Given the highly specialized nature of our operations\u2014including micromanipulation procedures, handling of chemical substances, and the manufacturing of precision equipment\u2014ensuring occupational health and safety is fundamental to our business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Accordingly, the Company promotes occupational health and safety initiatives based on the following policies:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Aim for zero occupational accidents and maintain at all times a safe and hygienic working environment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Protect physical and mental health and foster workplaces that support employee well-being<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pursue safety measures that go beyond legal compliance and aim for higher standards<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cultivate an organizational culture in which all employees maintain strong safety awareness and act proactively<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"link02\">Occupational Health and Safety Framework<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We regard occupational health and safety as an important management issue and promote the following framework:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A management system led by the executive officer responsible for occupational health and safety<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Occupational Health and Safety Committees at each site (meeting monthly)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Implementation of risk assessments at headquarters and factory sites<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Compliance with legal requirements and provision of training in departments handling chemical substances<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Health support through collaboration with occupational physicians and external specialists<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"link03\">Occupational Health and Safety Targets<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Each fiscal year, we set the following occupational health and safety targets:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Achieve zero fatal occupational accidents<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Achieve zero occupational accidents resulting in four or more lost workdays<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Achieve year-on-year reduction in the frequency rate of occupational accidents<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 self-checks of physical condition and fatigue levels<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Perform point-and-call confirmation before starting work<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hold meetings to share awareness of potential
