Origin of Our Company Name

The name “Kitazato” has two meanings.

In Japanese, “Kitazato” is derived from the words North and Hometown.
Our hometown, where our headquarters is located, lies at the foot of the majestic Mount Fuji rising to the north.
Inspired by this rich natural environment, the name “Kitazato” reflects our origin and our determination to continue moving forward from this land embraced by nature.

The name also honors Dr. Shibasaburo Kitazato, a pioneering Japanese physician who devoted his life to medicine and education and made significant contributions to society with his unwavering spirit.
