Jul 21, 2026 Corporate Kitazato Introduces Automated Manufacturing Equipment for Oocyte Retrieval Needles Kitazato Corporation (“Kitazato” or “the Company”; TSE 368A) has been promoting the automation of its manufacturing processes with the aim of reducing costs and improving the quality of the media and consumables which Kitazato manufactures and distributes. Kitazato announces that it has completed the installation of automated manufacturing equipment for the Kitazato OPU Needle (generic name: Soft Tissue Biopsy Kit; “oocyte retrieval needle”), one of its core products. The newly installed equipment fully automates the assembly process for oocyte retrieval needles, which was previously performed manually. In addition to enabling unmanned operation and improving productivity, the equipment is expected to contribute significantly to the manufacture of high-quality products. It is also equipped with an image inspection system, enabling product inspections to be conducted at a higher level than before. Kitazato will continue to promote the automation of its manufacturing processes to enhance employee safety, maintain high profit margin, and deliver products worldwide that uphold the high-quality standards and reliability associated with “Made in Japan.” Through these initiatives, Kitazato also expects to contribute to improved treatment outcomes for physicians engaged in fertility treatment in the field of obstetrics and gynecology, as well as for patients undergoing such treatment.
