Jun 12, 2026 R&D Notice Regarding the Launch of “Hypure® Oil,” a New Product Utilizing the Company’s Patented Technology Kitazato Corporation hereby announces the launch of “Hypure® Oil,” a new product developed utilizing the Company’s patented technology. Hypure® Oil is a cover oil used to protect culture media during the cultivation of oocytes and embryos (collectively referred to as “oocytes”). By covering the culture media, the product helps maintain stable culture conditions, including pH and osmotic pressure, thereby supporting an optimal environment for cell culture. This product incorporates the technology covered by the Company’s Japanese Patent No. 7121969. The patented technology suppresses oxidative degradation of mineral (paraffin) oil, which is commonly used in the culture of oocytes and is susceptible to oxidation. This is achieved through the addition of antioxidant substances, such as vitamin E, thereby helping to maintain a favorable environment for cell culture. Hypure® Oil is particularly effective in long-term culture systems and low-volume culture media environments, which have become increasingly common in clinical practice and research. In addition, it contributes to maintaining stable culture conditions and improving the reproducibility of experimental data in the cultivation of iPS cells, ES cells, and other cell types. The Company has continuously expanded its product portfolio in the field of assisted reproductive technology (ART), including culture media, cryopreservation-related products such as Cryodevice, and embryo transfer catheters. The launch of Hypure® Oil further strengthens the Company’s lineup of culture-related products and enhances its ability to provide comprehensive solutions to healthcare professionals and medical institutions. Hypure® Oil is also one of the products commercialized from the Company’s long-standing research and development activities and intellectual property assets. The product represents one of the Company’s initiatives to promote the commercialization of its research achievements through the effective utilization of its proprietary technologies and intellectual property portfolio. The Company will continue to pursue technological innovation and product development in the field of assisted reproductive technology. By further commercializing its research outcomes and intellectual property, the Company aims to deliver new value to medical institutions and patients worldwide while enhancing its competitiveness and expanding its presence in global markets, thereby contributing to sustainable growth and long-term enhancement of corporate value.
