As a company supporting the advancement of reproductive medicine and the future of society, Kitazato Corporation recognizes respect for the dignity and human rights of all people as one of its most important social responsibilities.

Guided by its corporate philosophy, “Happiness, for the Next Generations”, we strive to create an environment in which all individuals involved in its corporate activities can engage with confidence and peace of mind.

To this end, we have established this Policy to respect international human rights principles and to conduct fair and sincere corporate activities.
This Policy applies to all directors and employees of the Company, as well as to business partners involved in its business activities.

1. Basic Principles

We support and comply with the following international principles as minimum standards in our business activities.

  • The Universal Declaration of Human Rights
  • ILO Core Labour Standards
  • The Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact covering four areas

Given the nature of its business in reproductive medicine, we respect the rights of a wide range of stakeholders, including patients, healthcare professionals, and employees, and conduct our business activities in a safe and ethical manner.

2. Scope of Application

This Policy applies to all directors and employees of Kitazato Corporation.
We also expect that our business partners understand this Policy and cooperate in its implementation.

3. Responsibility to Respect Human Rights

We make every effort to respect the human rights of all individuals who may be directly or indirectly affected by our business activities and to avoid causing or contributing to any human rights violations.

If a potential human rights violation is identified, we will promptly investigate the matter, take corrective measures, and work to prevent recurrence.

4. Compliance with Laws and Regulations

We comply with the laws and regulations of the countries and regions in which we operate and seek to ensure consistency with internationally recognized human rights standards.

Where there is a conflict between local laws and international principles, we will seek ways to respect international human rights principles to the greatest extent possible.

5. Prohibition of Discrimination and Harassment

We respect diverse values and strictly prohibit all forms of discrimination and harassment based on, but not limited to, the following grounds.

6. Remedy

If a human rights violation occurs in connection with our business activities, we will respond promptly and appropriately and provide remediation.

We will also develop measures to prevent recurrence and pursue continuous improvement.

7. Education and Training

To embed respect for human rights throughout the organization, we provide continuous education and training for directors and employees.

11. Reporting and Consultation Channels

We have established consultation and reporting channels, including anonymous reporting options, to allow employees and related parties to raise human rights concerns without fear of retaliation.
